Re: 22-20
Sat, May 21, 2005 - 5:45 PMThe pinstripes beat the Mutts at the Sheapound?
Good.

Re: 22-21
Sat, May 21, 2005 - 9:25 PMThis is getting revolting again. Maybe the Yankees can only play well against Oakland and Seattle. They have looked awful that past two games out in the Queens pound. -

Re: 22-21
Sun, May 22, 2005 - 6:42 AMWhy WTF?
There are serious problems here...the pitching is only starting to come around...Matsui (The one that doesn't boot ground balls) is getting his bat hot again.
Sheffield's hurt, Johnson's inconsistant along with Brown and if Pavano doesn't turn it around, Mt. Steinbrenner's gonna errupt again. -

Re: 22-21
Sun, May 22, 2005 - 3:23 PMsabai, I have been in the process of moving. I'll be back in full armor in a day or 2. Go YANKEEEEEES! -
-
Re: 22-21
Sun, May 22, 2005 - 5:52 PM23-21. Well, they pulled it out against Pedro without a bunch of their starters. Go Bernie!
Of course, being stuck in Indiana, I got to watch the ever-exciting Cubs-White Sox series this weekend...

Re: 23-21
Sun, May 22, 2005 - 10:39 PMTommy,
Judging by the photo you've posted, it looks like fun being "stuck" in Indiana.
The way the Yankees and the Muts played this weekend, any other series had to be more professional. Lousy fielding, poor clutch hitting and completely incompetent managing... -
-
Re: 23-21
Mon, May 23, 2005 - 5:49 PMWell, you're right Sabai - there are definitely some benefits since I DID meet my wife in Indiana! But it still sucks only being able to see the Yanks on ESPN once in a while. Instead, I get almost all of the Cubs, White Sox, and Reds... -

Re: 23-21
Mon, May 23, 2005 - 11:29 PMTommy,
Your Number One "benefit" far outweighs watching pictures of Joe Torre trying his hardest to think...
I'd watch the Royals and Pirates every day for a "benefit' like you have... -

Re: 24-21
Tue, May 24, 2005 - 9:31 PMbeat up on the Tigers! Next up is 10 games over .500, then 20 games over then 30 games over then???? -
-
Re: 25-21
Wed, May 25, 2005 - 9:11 PMThis Taiwanese pitcher, Wang, is better than Jaret Wright, and Torre doesn't trust him.
Meanwhile the Sox keep on losing, so it should be an interesting series this weekend.
Both the Sox and Yankees should watch out, as the Twins could sneak in as the wild card this year. -
-
Re: 25-21
Wed, May 25, 2005 - 10:49 PMsabai, you saying the White Sox are a lock for the Central? The Yanks only concern is winning the East, we don't want any wild card!!! 4 games over .500
-
Re: 26-21
Thu, May 26, 2005 - 9:01 PM5 games over .500 now take the bosox to the cleaners -
-
Re: 26-21
Thu, May 26, 2005 - 9:29 PMWell, the Sox lost again tonight, so now they're behind the Yankees.
The main thing wrong with tonight's game was that I got tied up in the traffic coming back from the City. -
-
Re: 26-21
Fri, May 27, 2005 - 4:51 AMI noticed Rivera is back in good form, and ERA below 2 again.

Re: 27-21
Fri, May 27, 2005 - 8:40 PMMo is fine, how about the triple by Jete leading off after the bosox took the lead? Yankee captain indeed. And Sheff's home run was a monster blast!!! -
-
Re: 27-21
Sat, May 28, 2005 - 6:11 AMMy one chance to see them in a while - but I went to carb day at the Indy 500 instead...I'm a BAD Yankee fan!
I wonder if they're on Fox this afternoon? Not sure if I can stomach that, but perhaps if I turn the volume on the TV off... -

Re: 27-22
Sat, May 28, 2005 - 7:09 PMthe blow out means 1 thing, a rubber match! -
-
Re: 27-22
Sat, May 28, 2005 - 8:49 PMFortunately, I missed this debacle. Why can't they find somebody to take Stanton off their hands?? It's hilarious to see him so angry when he screws up, gets taken out and bangs his glove against his thigh, as he walks to the dugout. -
-
-
Re: 27-23
Mon, May 30, 2005 - 10:30 AMthe bosux have our number. this stinks -
-
Re: 27-24
Tue, May 31, 2005 - 8:24 PMNow, they can't even beat a triple A team. Some nobody pitcher held them to three hits. For the umpteenth time, this team has no life to it, and it all starts with the manager. -

Re: 27-24
Wed, June 1, 2005 - 4:32 PMDon't hate the boob, I just feel that he is an incompetent baseball man, who shouldn't be managing the Yankees. He's great with the media, and because of that, they lead fans to believe that he knows what he's doing. With Zimmer telling him what to do, he won the series four times, while on his own, he doesn't have a clue. He misuses pitching staffs and really screws up young players, not giving them a real chance. In addition, if he doesn't like a player, he'll misuse them, so they look awful with the Yankees, but go on to do well elsewhere. -
-
Re: 27-24
Wed, June 1, 2005 - 7:52 PMdid the Yanks just loose twice to K.C.?
Blown out by the bosux and loosing to the Royals. Can it get any worse? -
-
Re: 27-25
Wed, June 1, 2005 - 9:05 PMDoes anyone believe that Arizona would trade Brad Halsey and Javier Vasquez to the Yankees for Randy johnson?????????
I saw Halsey shut out the Mutts yesterday. He's the lefty that the Yankees desperately need. -
-
Re: 27-26
Thu, June 2, 2005 - 8:02 PMMaybe the KC club is simply better than George's $200,000 000 group with its $5,000,000 manager.
In a way, it's sad to watch poor Torre, who has no clue what to do. Help is needed from afar!!!

Re: 27-24
Thu, June 2, 2005 - 8:54 AMSo Torre is George Bush, and Zimmer was Cheney?
And I'm just another brainwashed Republican?
"If you're not with us, you're with the Red Sox" -

Sat, May 28, 2005 - 1:00 AMOK as the only Sox fan on this tribe I suppose I need to suck it up and not hide at times like these.
11 hits and still losing sucks.
At least tomorrow is a day game so I can listen to it (930 pm start time here)
