Just think about this... if the Astros make it to the World Series vs. the White Sox, then 4 of the pitchers in the series will be: Clemens, Pettitte, Contreras and El Duque.
I suppose the Yankees really didn't need any of them, did they?
Who's fault is this?
Definitely not Stottlemyre's.

Re: The Pitching Staff...who's fault?
Tue, October 18, 2005 - 9:20 PMTorre. He blamed the pitching staff after the 2004 ALCS so Cashman changed the staff as we know. Torre lost it this season in so many ways. -

Re: The Pitching Staff...who's fault?
Sat, October 22, 2005 - 12:37 PMThe 2003 pitching staff is doing pretty well, isn't it. Our 2003 pitchers are in the WS. The 2005 team is not. -

Re: The Pitching Staff...who's fault?
Tue, October 25, 2005 - 7:43 PMTorre's last contract was the first mistake. No way the boss was gonna let him out of 2 more years worth what, 13 mil? -

Re: The Pitching Staff...who's fault?
Wed, October 26, 2005 - 4:14 PMTorre is best suited to be asst. equipment manager, with Mazzilli as his assistant. The 13 million will be better spent there.
